CURRICULUM DESIGN & TECHNICAL TRAINING

Make complex skills
something people
can actually use.

I create custom curriculum, teach technical programs and help teams turn new knowledge into practical capability.

My experience spans UX design, product design, data engineering, front end engineering, coding and maker education.

THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE

01Understand it.

Clear concepts. Relevant examples.

02Build with it.

Purposeful practice. Useful feedback.

03Use it at work.

Independent decisions. Lasting capability.

A course should change what someone can do.

CLIENT EXPERIENCE

Different disciplines.
A practical approach to learning.

Curriculum development, program instruction and technical training across education and business.

01

Custom curriculum development

Thinkful

UX Design · Data Engineering

Created custom curriculum for UX Design and Data Engineering programs.

Two technical disciplines. Learning experiences designed around the skills students need to develop.

02

Custom curriculum development

CodeTeachers

Coding · Design · Maker education

Created coding, design and maker curriculum for CodeTeachers.

Creative, hands-on learning that connects technical concepts to things learners can make.

03

Program instruction

Flatiron School

Product Design

Instructed the Product Design Program at Flatiron School.

Teaching, guided practice and feedback that help learners apply product design concepts.

04

Technical training

Grow Financial

Front End Engineering

Delivered Front End Engineering training for Grow Financial.

Technical learning in a business setting, connecting development skills to practical work.

HOW I DESIGN A PROGRAM

Start with the ability.
Build the path to it.

Useful learning needs more than a collection of slides. It needs a reason to learn, a chance to practice and a way to show progress.

01

Define the job

Start with what someone needs to do after the program. Identify learner needs, prerequisites, business context and the evidence of success.

02

Design the experience

Sequence concepts, demonstrations, practice and feedback. Build a clear path from a first attempt to independent work.

03

Make learning visible

Use projects, checkpoints and rubrics to show what learners understand and where they need another attempt.

04

Support the transfer

Give teams reusable templates, facilitator guidance and a plan for applying new skills in their everyday workflow.

INSIDE A TRAINING MODULE / UX DESIGN WITH AI

From a tool demonstration
to a useful design decision.

A module blueprint for a custom team program: use AI to explore options, keep evidence visible and make a reasoned design choice.

WORKSHOP FLOW · 90 MINUTES

  1. 10 min

Frame the problem. Read a research brief and separate observations from assumptions.

  2. 20 min

Explore alternatives. Use approved AI tools to generate and critique competing user flows.

  3. 30 min

Make and evaluate. Build a low-fidelity prototype and examine it against the research and accessibility criteria.

  4. 20 min

Explain the decision. Peer review the work and revise the design rationale.

  5. 10 min

Transfer the skill. Choose a work task, an owner and a follow-up checkpoint.

WHAT I CAN BUILD FOR YOUR TEAM

A workshop.
